PROJECT KINGDOMSOUND

 HANDITECH IN COLLABORATION WITH JCCB
Initiates
PROJECT KINGDOMSOUND

On one occasion, the following conversations took place between a Lion who is a member of JCCB and a JCCB Lioness.

JCCB LION: You are back from the program?
JCCB LIONESS: Yes I am back
JCCB LION: How was it?
JCCB LIONESS: It was fine but the sound was bad.
If not for the Caliber of minister that came, I would have Left.
JCCB LION [JLN]:  You mean you stayed back because of the Caliber of minister that came to the   Program? In other words, if there was no minister that came to the program or it was another minister, you would have left?
JCCB LIONESSES: Yes I would have. Those guys are not serious
JLN:  Well, thank God for the minister. Are you going for tomorrow’s session?
JCCB LIONESS: Yes; but I will go late, I will time myself. I will time myself. I will arrive at the venue, 15-30 minutes before the minister mounts the podium.

On another occasion, The following conversation took place between a Choir member in JCCB and another choir member.
Choir Member 1[CM1]: How was the concert?
Choir Member2 [cm2]:  Mtcheww. If not for God eeh? God saved them. They didn’t prepare or plan themselves well. The sound was bad from the beginning. The OGS did not know what they were doing. One boy came and set everything for them before the sound became good.

A much more recent conversation went thus:
Robodrumz: Chubby thank God you have arrived. Sound has just been a mess.
Benson: And had it been I and Robo were not here, it would have been much messier.
Chubby: *Dumb folded* Says in his mind, “Why is it that nobody wants to learn? Is it when I leave CASOR? Am I going to stay here forever?

Another conversation scenario went thus:
Choir Mistress: How was the concert?
Keyboardist: Great. I thank God. I really enjoyed myself like King David.
Choir Mistress: Rate the program.
Keyboardist: It was great. Sound was good. I was hearing myself very well but the bassist was unbearable. He was playing more than nonsense. The drummer was ok. At least, he was manageable. I had to tell the bassist to stop. When He refused, I left the keyboard so the organizers had to kick him out.
Choir Leader: That was very cruel of you. Why couldn’t you just manage him?
Keyboardist: God forgive you and may the eyes of your understanding be enlightened. That means that someone like you can manage to eat from a pot of soup of which a drop of kerosene as part of the ingredient during preparation. As for me, Instead of adding chicken Laps that has been contaminated with half drop of kerosene, Its wisdom that you leave out the chicken laps. For what shall it profit a concert to gain the whole sound and loose the feel?
Choir Leader: Hmmm, I don’t know what to say. You are right. I equally understand how it feels when someone is singing off in the choir; when there is a contamination in alto, tenor, or soprano. It’s usually disgusting. But you have not yet rated the program.
Keyboardist: There was one choir that sang; My God!!! Those guys were good; not just good but God used them to minister unto the congregation. They sang You are God alone by Marvin Sapp. They came with their keyboardist but their keyboardist but came quietly and told me that I should accompany him since I could play more than him and I knew the song. We planned briefly how both of us will play the song and thank God, God does not take junk. He really showed up in full, when perhaps, some people in the congregation when some people in the congregation started understanding and feeling the weight of the message that was being passed to them; that God is God alone in our everything and to Him belongs all Glory, honor, dominion and Power forever and ever, Amen. The Choir was tight and they sang down God’s presence seriously, God came down.
Another choir sang do you want a revolution by Kirk Franklin. The youths who were the bulk of the population in the concert [mostly campus folks] were happy. In fact it was entertainment galore with that choir. Yet Another Choir sang sha just one cool song. They did not know much about singing but they tried their best. Somehow, I preferred their ministration to some others that were so noisy and too much display of skills that spoilt the whole thing.
Choir Leader: It seems you went for an adventure in that concert
Keyboardist: It was more than an adventure. It was really a wonderful experience. Thank God for that tight Choir that sang in Spirit and in truth. I will like to join such a choir; Building my spirit man skills and talents, not just singing or playing but ministering to God as well  as the audience.

From the Proposer’s Studio: By God’s grace, I am in my Final lap as a student of University of Nigeria, Nsukka for one year and University of Nigeria Enugu Campus for 4 years. After an encounter with God, Last year, my life changed including the perspective which I view life including the feedback I give to what feeds into my Life. To cut Long stories short, I only engage in activities that are kingdom business oriented and will lead to the establishment and advancement of the Kingdom of God.
With 1corinthians 12:14-27 as a mirror, Even the smallest member of the Human body, the cell, has its functions split amongst organelles or departments of which in the cell of a kingdom based body/cell like JCCB, there happens to be an organelle or department called the music department and the ogs department which are inter twined in function just like there are other departments like the ushering department, the drama department etc.
When the ogs department and the music department/organelle of the JCCB cell is facing challenges or gets into comma, the whole JCCB suffers with it. As a matter of fact, this department is in coma; therefore a feedback response has been activated leading to the birth of this project, KINGDOM SOUND.
Sound in a simple definition is the vibration of air molecules that stimulates our eardrums. People who work with sound everyday tend not to think about the science and fundamentals of what sound is all about and take it for granted. Buy unless you have assimilated a good understanding of the nature of the medium in which you work? How are you ever going to make it really work for you? Don’t be surprised or disappointed that your OGS or music director in charge of sound production in your church or fellowship or kingdom body/organization won’t be able to answer the following questions:
1.      What is sound?
2.      How is it measured or what is its unit?
As far as we are concerned, Sound starts with a vibrating source, commonly the vocal cords, musical instruments, headphones, earphones and loudspeaker Diaphragm.
The same applies to those involved in making the sound. It is not only the sound gig [or sound engineer] that has the full responsibility.
No professional sound engineer will bother himself with an organization that doesn’t know the difference between good sound and bad sound neither will he/she bother himself or herself setting up sound for some amateur music makers who really know nothing about the fundamentals of sound which makes music nor how the elements used in making music interact.
This topic as a matter of importance should not be overlooked although in most kingdom based bodies and organizations, it is fully overlooked.
A preacher once said, “God does not take Junk” Even those that serve the Devil don’t dream of giving the devil junk.  How about God? The fact remains that in some aspects, departments, organelles, we give God junk and don’t care about what God is saying or what we are giving Him.
To this effect, Handitech in collaboration with JCCB has taken it up under the project, KINGDOM SOUND to effect positive changes by:
1.      Train JCCB OGS”es” every fellowship free of charge for a better production in their meetings. The training will involve both the theoretical and practical aspects starting from the foundation [scratch] to a very appreciable level by teaching the reason and principle behind the function. Advanced training might cost a little token and these series of training and skill acquisition involves sound recording and production software usage, techniques and mastering. Examples of software being taught are fl studio, Adobe SoundBooth, adobe audition, nero wave editor etc.
2.      Train the music makers of JCCB and this is divided into two arms
2a. The instrumentalists which consists of the keyboardist, The Guitarist, and the Drummer.
2b. The Song Leaders and the Choir

LOGISTICS BEHIND TRAINING OF SONG LEADERS AND THE CHOIR
A characteristic of a good experienced Leader is this: Functionality and Loyalty of whatever subject or phenomenon He or She is leading. In this arena, members are song leaders, backup singers and the choir members as a whole.
More emphasis placed on training the song leader(s) and the backup singers who in turn will train his/her choir members.
My expertise will be employed periodically to brush up and fine tune the trainings giving to the choir members. Trained Choir members will be pooled up occasionally at all nights for tutorial updates as JCCB MASS CHOIR and this will only be exclusive to members that are trained.
The present and past song leaders should select a maximum of 6 backup singers
                        2 soprano singers
                        2 alto singers
                        2 Tenor Singers
They will be chosen obeying the principles and SOP embedded in Acts 13:2.
As a matter of necessity, they will have to be thought the same fundamental theory and practical of music and sound production just like the instrumentalist will be thought. To this effect, knowledge of at least one musical instrument is compulsorily mandatory and the singer is left to make his or her choice of instrument.
Fundamentally speaking and due to logistics, the ownership of an acoustic guitar or keyboard or easy access to one that is readily available is a prerequisite.
Ownership of a saxophone or a piccolo/flute or Violin is manageable.
Ownership of a recorder [i.e. this flute used by Brigade brands might be manageable

LOGISTICS FOR TRAINING INSTRUMENTALISTS
Training of Instrumentalists is restricted to mainly first years studying a 4 or 5 year course or a student of FHST/LAW in 2nd year. Care should be taken be fellowship to select students that have passion for what they want to learn and sacrifice for it. Note that it shall be a maximum of two persons for each instrument. The training is restricted to this no of persons due to Logistics. Only Fellowships with more than 2 keyboards and bass guitar can register a maximum of 3 students.
Training of the keyboardist, guitarist, and drummer will require a token of N5000 for additional multimedia materials
However, passionate individuals that can afford their own personal keyboards and guitars can join the training session.
Drummers must be a maximum of two persons since fellowships, logically speaking have only two drum sets [old and new]
NOTE: It would be very wise that trainees that are chosen are dedicated and passionate kingdom minded members of the interested fellowship. This matter as important as Acts 13:2 and the principle embedded therein.

LOGISTICS FOR TRAINING THE SOUND GIG
Training of sound gig will be restricted to students of all years/levels except first years and final years.
A token of N2000 will be provided for logistic for each fellowship which will be used for fuelling the generator and legally purchasing multimedia tutorial materials, tutorials on fixing up of different types of chords, jacks, plugs and accessories involved in the Kingdom of Sound set up.

MISCELLANEOUS LOGISTICS
1.      Bulk Sms
2.      Phone Calls
3.      Seeking other Resource persons as well as appreciating them in training sessions
4.      Production of a DVD for each tutorial session

TOTAL LOGISTICS FOR FULL TRAINING SESSION

N3000 for Voice Training
N2000 for miscellaneous

TOTAL: N10, 000
Most of the multimedia materials which will consist of tutorial videos apart from training sessions and shared amongst fellowship that indicated interest as this will legally cut cost of purchase since it is bought under JCCB.

To this effect, interested fellowships should send an email containing the following details to kingdomsoundproductionz@gmail.com or extraordinarygospelsounds@gmail.com much preferably with a letter head.
